New Subaru Imreza is the safest car in its class

According to the results of crash tests held by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety of USA (IIHS) awarded the Subaru Impreza model, the fifth generation of the maximum score for safety. As noted in the press release of agency IIHS, the new model Subaru Impreza (sedan and wagon) has successfully passed all five tests on the strength of the body. The car has received the maximum possible score on the safety due to a frontal collision warning and avoidance system. Japanese novelty successfully avoided collision in both tests – at speeds of 19 km / h and 40 km / h.

Also, according to the results of tests IIHS specialists, the LED head optics of Subaru Impreza new generation received “good”. In particular, vehicle electronics “knows” how to change the direction and density of LED-lighting, depending on the traffic situation in real time. For example, model headlights brightness is automatically reduced when approaching an oncoming vehicle. Halogen headlights, which, by the way, are the part of standard equipment, were rated “satisfactory.”

In addition, representatives of the IIHS noted the simplicity of child seats installation in the cabin of the new Subaru Impreza. Summing up the results of tests, the US Insurance Institute for Highway Safety noted that at the moment Subaru Impreza is the only car in the compact class, which received high evaluation of safety in all the agency’s tests.
