One of the first concepts of the brand is the car Subaru ACX-II. The sedan-coupe had “squat” and at the same time slightly angular shape, was presented in November 1985 at the Tokyo Motor Show.
Among the stated characteristics of the model was a 2.7-liter horizontally opposed engine with a 6-cylinder engine and permanent four-wheel drive.

Two years later, Subaru ACX-II came to the conveyor, receiving the name Subaru Alcyone VX, and his followers became Subaru SVX, which was manufactured from 1991 to 1997.
