Updated “charged” sedans Subaru WRX and WRX STI of 2018 model year presented (part 2)

Representatives of the Japanese brand noted that updated sedan Subaru WRX got readjusted suspension, upgraded electric power steering and much improved “switching feeling” for the 6-speed manual gearbox. Now the car is available with the optional Performance package, which includes red brake calipers and new brake pads Jurid, Recaro sports seats with electric adjustment (eight directions) and removable hatch for reducing the vehicle weight.

Both models use the old power units. In particular, new Subaru WRX sedan is equipped with a 2.0-liter engine producing 268 horsepower. As standard, the car is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission and a brand all-wheel drive system Symmetrical. As an option, customers will be offered CVT Sport Lineatronic.

Updated sedan Subaru WRX STI also received a modified suspension, revised braking system with improved monobloc calipers, perforated brake discs and upgraded all-wheel drive system DCCD (Driver Controlled Center Differential), which received electronic control. The new sedan Subaru WRX STI is equipped with the same 2.5-liter boxer engine generating 305 horsepower. It is noted that equipment of WRX STI model includes rally technology: Multi-Mode Vehicle Dynamics Control, Active Torque Vectoring and symmetrical all-wheel drive Multi-Mode Driver Controlled Center Differential.
