The unusual Subaru is a modification of the limited American edition called WRX STI Type RA, which has already been reworked if to compare with the WRX STI model. The car received a modified 2.0-liter turbo engine in the WRC rally specification with the expanded inlet channels and increased boost pressure up to 1.72 bar. The motor’s output exceeded 600 horsepower. In addition, the engine is mated to a racing sequential in the same WRC supplied by paddle shifters, modified hydraulics and switching time. The NBR Special carmakers did not forget about the symmetrical four-wheel drive.

For the Nurburgring, the engineers have refined the car. In particular, the sedan received an active wing. It is controlled by the button located on the steering wheel and can be switched between the maximum downforce mode and the least flow resistance in just 20 milliseconds. This electro-hydraulic system is similar to the DRS in Formula-1.
